Metta World Peace in the Broadcast Booth
Despite all the publicity about Ron Artest‘s kooky name change, it was hard not to do a double take when the Lakers unveiled his new jersey during a recent media day in El Segundo.
Since “Metta” is apparently the first name, we are left with the words “World Peace” emblazoned across the back of #15’s new purple and gold. Which got FishbowlLA thinking about the many surreal phrases that could soon be emanating from the Lakers broadcast booth.
