Does Metta World Peace Need Some AP Style Help?
Ron Artest got his name legally changed to Metta World Peace just in time for his debut tonight on the ABC-TV juggernaut Dancing with the Stars.
It’s obviously going to be an added bonus to see exactly how the show host, judges and even Peace’s partner refer to him on-air. Although judging by the official DWTS website, they may well just pretend like the legal name change never happened.
But how are the media handling the nomenclature in their lead-up pieces? FishbowlLA took a quick scan of the Internet dance floor today and found all sorts of varying references to number 17’s bizarre new moniker.
