Roll Call: Ketchum Pleon Germany, Edelman Canada, and a Bi-Coastal Partnership

Dirk Popp has been appointed CEO of Ketchum Pleon Germany. He was previously speaker for the organization's executive board and MD in the Düsseldorf and Dresden offices. He has been with the firm for 15 years. Ketchum Pleon Germany is composed of seven offices with 350 comms staffers. John Clinton has been selected to serve as CEO of Edelman Canada, effective August 17. The region includes offices in Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver. He was previously SVP of digital solutions and new media at Transcontinental Media. And from 1999 to 2008, he was president and CEO of Grey Worldwide Canada working with clients like Starbucks and Invesco. According to the press release announcing the appointment, Edelman Canada experienced 17 percent growth in 2010 and has 160 staffers. Clients include RIM, Starbucks, and Kraft. Sayles & Winnikoff Communications and Maggie Begley Communications(MBC) have formed a partnership that will give the entertainment agencies a presence on both coasts and expanded service offerings. Sayles & Winnikoff is based in New Jersey and NYC; MBC in Los Angeles. The two firms have partnered on client work in the past, for instance working with SKECHERS Entertainment. Sayles & Winnikoff's client list also includes Simon & Schuster Publishing, ION Television, and OK! Magazine. The firms offer services such as celebrity outreach, content for kids, and both B2B and B2C outreach. Rob Eiseman has been named director of comms for Blue Chip Marketing Worldwide, a global marketing firm with a client roster including Kraft, Hard Rock Hotel, and Columbia Sportswear. Eiseman will provide counsel to clients and promote the firm's work in retail, healthcare, and branding. Crosby Marketing Communications, which offers social media, PR, and marketing services, has added Scott Rasmussen as creative director. He has 30 years of experience and was previously executive creative director and EVP of Baltimore-based Carton Donofrio Partners.
