Mobile video-on-demand provider ROK Entertainment Group is buying Jalipo Media, the latest in a string of acquisitions for the UK-based ROK.
Jalipo is a self-proclaimed online marketplace for TV and video. Or, as RCR Wireless News describes it, “kind of a premium YouTube, allowing users to access news, sports, movies and other video content on computers for a fee.”
In the past year or so, ROK has acquired software firm Genium and mobile video provider Fun Little Movies.
It’s shelling out 600,000 shares, or about $16.8 million, for Jalipo.
