The rough times at Rodale continue. According to the New York Post, the company has given pink slips to 40 staffers.
A Rodale spokesperson described the layoffs as “painful but strategic.”
“These changes were made to streamline our business operations and drive growth as we continue our transformation as a company; they are a proactive response to industry changes,” added the spokesperson.
The reduction comes two months after Rodale cut 10 senior staffers, including head of new content development Anne Alexander and group publisher Chris Lambiase.
