Wicked Pictures Walks Fine Line With The Rocki Whore Picture Show

Last fall, Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment released a special 35th anniversary Blu-ray edition of beloved cult classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show. On March 30th via the Web and April 7th on DVD, LA’s Wicked Pictures is coming out with The Rocki Whore Picture Show: A Hardcore Parody.

What’s wrong with this second picture? If you watch the SFW trailer, you’ll notice that at the very end, to go along with the spelling change of “Rocki”, Wicked slaps on an escape clause: “The Rocki Whore Picture Show is a parody motion picture. It is not sponsored, endorsed by, or affiliated with Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation…”

Honestly, that doesn’t seem like enough to FishbowlLA in this case for Wicked to get off the hook. Unlike the Vivid spoofs of Hollywood franchises such as Batman and Superman, this one mangles the original title (and, apparently, musical numbers) in a highly derogatory and confusing manner. We’ve reached out to Fox legal to get their opinion, and will update if we hear back.
