Robert Thomson Is Staying Put At WSJ

The rumor mill was in full swing yesterday as word got out that Melbourne-born Robert Thomson, the managing editor of The Wall Street Journal, was leaving his post and returning to Australia.  According to sources close to the situation, Thomson isn’t going anywhere and any discussion about him leaving WSJ are “complete nonsense.”  Thomson was linked to an executive position with the News Corp. owned News Ltd. located in Australia.

Speculation grew that Thomson was on the move to Australia after he spent his Christmas vacation in the land down under, however it appears that he was simply eating
