Rob Lowe Has Potomac Fever

Actor Rob Lowe may be done with politics and with the ABC show “Brothers & Sisters” (he had to drop out of his California Senate race because of the whole stroke frothing at the mouth incident and allegedly died at the end of last season). But in real life, he has linked up with reality producers 44 Blue for a potential reality show called “Potomac Fever.”

The program is to be about young, ambitious Washingtonians. Lowe is the executive producer.

Late last week he told Variety: “I’ve always had an affinity for the adventures of young Washingtonians,” Lowe said. “They live and love at the center of world power. I can’t wait to tell their stories.”

Lowe currently appears on NBC’s “Parks and Recreation.” He plays the state auditor.

Details on the show and where it might appear are locked up for the time being — not even the potential cast knows if the show has been sold. The Washington Examiner’s Yeas & Nays reported this morning that the cast of the show isn’t official, but said last fall camera crews were following around a potential cast at City Tavern Club. They named the following: WSUA9’s Angie Goff, MIX 107.3 DJ Tommy McFly, Miss D.C. 2008 Kate Grinold, writer McLean Robbins and real estate agent Fletcher Gill. Read the full Examiner post here.
