It was Joe Pompeo who had the scoop two years ago, when New York Post old-timer V.A. Musetto was nudged off the freelance film reviewer rolls. And it is Pompeo once again, today, who has the very sad news of the 74-year-old newspaper man’s passing early this morning:
The cause was pancreatic cancer, Musetto’s daughter, Carly VanTassell, told Capital. He had entered end-of-life care at Calvary Hospital in the Bronx recently after receiving a sudden diagnosis…
In a brief phone interview, VanTassell recalled accompanying her father to the Post’s newsroom when she was a kid and seeing him stand on his desk yelling out headline ideas.
