London-based photographer Matt Irwin was just 36. In the wake of his sudden death May 5, there have been many outpourings of love for his life and legacy, including a stream of tributes and condolences posted on social media by One Direction fans using the hashtag #RIPMattIrwin.
Irwin’s agency, Camilla Lowther Management, has shared a rich page of Irwin highlights, starting with a recent shoot for Vogue Spain with Camille Rowe. They also remind when and where it all exploded professionally for the Southport native:
Matt’s desire to become a fashion photographer took him to London where he worked as an editor, and later, as in-house photographer at style bible Dazed & Confused. By 2007, Matt was shooting covers for Dazed & Confused and continued working for the magazine throughout his career. He went on to work on editorial projects for Vogue Russia, Vogue Japan, and Glamour magazine.
