M Booth has hired its first director of nutrition for its Better4You practice. Tanya Zuckerbrot is an author, creator of the F-Factor diet, which focuses on adding proteins, fats, and carbs (yum… carbs) in order to lose weight, and has a line of high-fiber foods. She will lead the Better4You advisory board and counsel clients on trends, consumer insights, and legislation.
CooperKatz & Company has promoted Anne Green to president of the firm. She joined the company in 1996 shortly after it was founded and was previously president and COO. The firm also promoted Dorothy Sonnenburg to CFO. She joined in 2003 and was previously SVP of finance and operations.
Mike McDougall has partnered with Buffalo-based marketing firm Travers Collins to form McDougall Travers Collins, a consultancy focused on senior-level reputation and branding work in the U.S. and abroad. Back in February, McDougall confirmed with us that he would be leaving Bausch & Lomb to work with another firm on “strategic counsel with a multinational focus.” This new firm will be based in Rochester.
Christi Black has joined Edelman’s Sacramento office as EVP. She previously served as MD for Ogilvy PR in California after selling her firm, Deen+Black Public Relations, to the company in 2001. The firm has also added Josh Morgan to the Sacramento office as VP in the digital practice. He was previously managing partner of Morgan/Dorado Public Relations. He also worked at Apple and helped with the launch of the iPod. Edelman has added a number of people to its West coast team over the past year including Tom Knox in January and Beverly Kennedy in August.
Zach Rosenfield has joined Prodigy PR as EVP of television and sports entertainment, building the firm’s business in scripted and non-scripted shows, producers and writers, and others in the entertainment world. Rosenfield worked with AccuScore, a sports betting company. And prior to that, was head of entertainment at Fifteen Minutes Public Relations.
Schubert Communications, a B2B firm, has added Charles O’Brien as a web developer in the firm’s interactive department. The work will include design, programming and troubleshooting. Previously, O’Brien worked in graphic design and Web development for NSM Insurance Group.
