Radio Isn’t Dead, It’s Just Moving to Mobiles

A new survey from TNS Global Technology finds that radio on mobile phones is a growing market in some regions. A Mobile Entertainment report on study says that using a cell phone as a radio was up 140% among respondents, while using the phone as an MP3 player was up only 78% over last year.

Also, the study revealed that consumers in India are reluctant to buy a mobile phone that doesn’t include FM radio and 45% of those surveyed in Latin America and Asia rate a radio above SMS, Internet access and a camera as a necessary cell phone feature, ME reports.
