Pulitzer Prize-Winning Columnist Elected to Pulitzer Board

Columbia University announced today that perhaps the deepest baritone-voiced journalist in Washington, Eugene Robinson, Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist and associate editor at WaPo, has been elected to the Pulitzer Prize Board.

In 2009, Robinson, an MSNBC political analyst, won the Pulitzer Prize for Commentary for his columns about the 2008 presidential campaign and the election of President Barack Obama.

Backgrounder: Robinson began his journo career at the San Francisco Chronicle, covering such stories such as the trial of kidnapped newspaper heiress Patricia Hearst.
