Congrats are in order! Publicist Hannah Bagshawe married Eddie Redmayne over the weekend in Somerset, England.
Redmayne is currently starring as Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything, a role that will likely earn him more than a few acting nominations and honors. He’s also starred in the award-winning film version of Les Miserables, My Week With Marilyn and with Cate Blanchett in Elizabeth: The Golden Age.
Bagshawe worked with Mergermarket for nearly five years, serving at one point as the company’s global head of PR. That company provides a business tool as well as analysis and intelligence for the M&A sector. You’ve likely come across one of Mergermarket’s reports if you work in these areas. She moved on to Finsbury, where she was an associate for about a year, from 2011 to 2012.
The couple met in 2012 and were engaged this past May.
Separately but related, The New York Times interviewed the stars of both The Theory of Everything and The Imitation Game, spotlighting the work of these “British geniuses.” After the jump, Redmayne, Benedict Cumberbatch, Kiera Knightly and Felicity Jones talk about the characters they play in those respective films. Also, British accents!
