Better late than never. As Project Runway enters its fifth season and Tyra Banks continues her rise to world dominance, Vogue, the print bible for all things fashion, is finally getting in the reality show game. The online reality show game, that is.
According to WSJ, Vogue is launching Model.Live, a 12 part, reality-based web show that will air in eight-minute segments. The show will premiere, on demand, on Aug. 19 on Vogue.tv and be syndicated to Veoh.com and hulu.com and feature three hand-picked models, one of whom is described in the article as “coffee colored” so maybe Vogue is attempting to further embrace the whole diversity thing. The entire show is being underwritten by the bargain clothing company Express LLC., a somewhat ironic partnership since one wonders if anyone currently walking the hallowed Vogue halls has ever seen the inside of an Express store.
