The contest will run 12 weeks, with entrants competing in challenges including writing, cooking and food photography. The grand prize is $10,000 and a feature on Foodbuzz.com for one year. The winner will be revealed Dec. 13.
The first round of voting in the contest kicked off Monday, and the Buick LaCrosse is sponsoring Project Food Blog, receiving in return a branded environment for the contest, pre-roll and brand integration included with original Project Food Blog-related Web content, social-media support via Facebook and Twitter, and an offline sponsorship presence at the event Foodbuzz detailed last week, the Second Annual Foodbuzz Blogger Festival, to be held Nov. 5-7 in San Francisco.
