President Obama Pens Huff Post Op-Ed on Family-Friendly Workplace Policies
Corresponding with today’s first ever White House Summit on Working Families, President Barack Obama penned “Family-Friendly Workplace Policies Are Not Frills — They’re Basic Needs” for The Huffington Post on the challenges of working parents and how the country can properly address them.
“Family leave, childcare, flexibility and a decent wage aren’t frills,” writes Obama. “They’re basic needs. They shouldn’t be bonuses — they should be the bottom line.”
