Post Sees Earnings Drop

Washington Post Co. reported yesterday that they saw a drop in fourth-quarter earnings, as earnings were down 4 percent from the prior-year’s quarter (to $102.4 million from $105.9 million. Earnings at Kaplan educational group and their cable division helped offset losses in their newspaper and television divisions, which they attributed, in part, to costs incurred from the hurricane season, which affected cable operations in Mississippi.

So, in a word, the pot lucks will continue.
