Today’s WaPo has details on last night’s farewell party for Len Downie, saying that “hundreds of colleagues gathered…for a retirement tribute and a send-off. …The Post’s new executive editor, Marcus Brauchli recently arrived from the Wall Street Journal, called his predecessor ‘straightforward and committed,’ adding that the six Pulitzer Prizes Downie’s staff won this year ‘set the bar fairly high for the new guy.'”
