Popular Mechanics Pairs With Old Navy To Spread Brand Awareness

Old Navy and Hearst Corp. are teaming up to celebrate over 100 years of Popular Mechanics covers by putting some of their favorites on the popular store’s T-shirts for kids. The shirts will be available this month.

Popular Mechanics is also offering a contest for kids to get them interested in the century-old magazine, asking them to come up with the best interpretation of a PM cover with the theme “Kids Can Do Great Things.” The winner will receive $500 and, of course, have his or her design featured in the August issue of Popular Mechanics and mass-produced and sold at Old Navy, making the two companies well over $500 in profit.
