Politico Partners With Denver Post, St. Paul Pioneer Press for Streamed Forums

Yahoo and the fast growing political-junkie-aimed Web site Politico have partnered with The Denver Post and St. Paul Pioneer Press–hometown newspapers in the two cities set to host the upcoming Democratic and Republican conventions–to host a series of eight public political forums, each of which will be streamed on both partner sites.
According to Yahoo officials, each breakfast-scheduled event will feature leaders from the worlds of politics, entertainment and the media, discussing the hot topics and goings on at each convention. “Our newsmaker breakfast series will provide a fresh perspective from this year’s cast of political players and give Yahoo! users a unique peek behind the curtain of America’s electoral process.” said Alan Warms, vp and general manager of Yahoo News.
Few official details have been released on exactly who will participate at these events, which will unfold from Aug. 25 to 28 at the Democratic National Convention in Denver and Sept. 1 through 4 at the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minn. However, the series of breakfasts is the latest example of  Yahoo News establishing itself as a leader in the online political news arena. Last year, Yahoo partnered with the Associated Press to conduct multiple polls throughout the primary and presidential election season. And this past May, Yahoo first partnered with Politico to hold the first Web-streamed interview with President Bush.
