Politico Names Joe Schatz to Lead States as It Reorganizes Its States Operation
Capital New York founders Josh Benson and Tom McGeveran are out.
Amidst an announced reorganization of its states operation that includes the departure of Politico New York née Capital New York founders Josh Benson and Tom McGeveran, Joe Schatz has been named to lead Politico’s states coverage.
“[Schatz has] been indispensable in helping frame the company’s choices on states,” wrote editor in chief John Harris in a note to staff. “He will have his own style and priorities in leading states, but in all essential respects he shares the values of Josh and Tom.
