Politico Injects New Blood Into Click

Politico is bringing new faces to Click. Earlier this week, we told you that Washington Life‘s Karin Tanabe has been hired. The second hire is Natasha Lennard, a recent Columbia Journalism School grad who has been ambitiously interning with both the NYT and Salon.com this summer.

While Tanabe is a native Washingtonian, Lennard is British and hails from England. She was an ambitious intern across the pond as well, where she worked for both The Times and Daily Mail. Tanabe begins on Aug. 18; Lennard begins just after Labor Day on Sept. 7.

We’re pleased to announce two forthcoming arrivals to the CLICK team.

Karin Tanabe comes to us from Washington Life, where she has served as both managing and deputy editor. Karin, a native Washingtonian, brings with her a deep knowledge of the social fabric of D.C., a keen interest in fashion and a drive to be out and about reporting on city life. SheÂ’s also been blogging about style for the Huffington Post and is a graduate of Vassar College. SheÂ’ll be at Politico full time starting Aug. 18.

Natasha Lennard is a recent graduate of Columbia Journalism School who has been interning this summer at both The New York Times (on the metro desk) and at Salon.com (working with the politics editor). She hails from England, where she attended the University of Cambridge and majored in philosophy, and held internships at The Times and the Daily Mail. Natasha will join the staff on Sept. 7th, just after Labor Day.
