Only 11 Percent of Creative Directors Are Women and Pinterest Wants to Right the Ratio

The campaign features seven female creative leaders in the advertising industry

Pinterest is marking Women’s Equality Day Saturday (Aug. 26) with a new ad campaign, Right the Ratio.

The social network said in an email to Social Pro Daily that while women make up 46 percent of the advertising industry, they account for just 11 percent of creative directors.

The campaign was developed by in-house creative team The Studio, in partnership with digital agency Grow, and it features seven female creative leaders in the advertising industry discussing how they spark creativity, navigate their careers and amplify their voices, as well as sharing personal stories, career tips and advice.

Those creative leaders include: Makelovenotporn founder and CEO Cindy Gallop, Will Packer Media head of Brand Studio Tricia Clarke-Stone and R/GA associate creative director Katie Facada.
