Pinterest: Here’s How to Save Data by Stopping Auto-Play Videos

Follow our guide to stop videos from auto-playing when you're not on WiFi

While browsing Pinterest on your mobile device, you may come across video Pins that start playing automatically. If you want to save data, you can stop these videos from automatically playing when you’re not connected to WiFi. Our guide will show you how this is done.

Note: These screenshots were captured in the Pinterest application on iOS. Also note, if you ever delete and reinstall the Pinterest app, you’ll need to repeat these steps to once again stop videos from auto-playing when you’re not on WiFi.

Step 1: Tap the profile icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen.

Step 2: Tap the settings icon in the top-right corner of the screen.

Step 3: Tap “Edit settings.”

Step 4: Scroll down, and tap the toggle next to “Autoplay on mobile data” to turn this setting off (the toggle will turn gray). This will stop videos from automatically playing when you’re not on WiFi.
