Facebook is testing a feature for its Android users that syncs photos taken on their mobile devices directly to their Facebook accounts.

The social network confirmed the test to The Verge, saying it was on a “really small” scale, and not offering further details on whether it would be rolled out to more users.

The Verge described the photo sync feature as a hybrid of the instant photo upload feature on Google Plus, where photos are automatically uploaded to users’ accounts, but to a private folder, and Apple’s Photostream, which uploads photos to the cloud and syncs them with all of a user’s iOS devices.

According to The Verge, users can determine if they have access to photo sync by going to their timelines on Facebook for Android, tapping photos, and tapping the sync button if it appears.
