The Season of Giving Has Arrived Early for Periscope’s Super Broadcaster Program

Super Broadcasters will receive all earnings minus an administration fee of $1 per payout

Super Broadcasters on Periscope are getting an early holiday gift from the Twitter-owned livestreaming application’s Super Hearts program.

Super Hearts, introduced in June, enable creators on Periscope to monetize their livestreams by receiving virtual gifts, or Super Hearts, that count toward their star balance. Super Broadcasters are able to exchange their star balance for cash.

Periscope announced in a blog post Wednesday that all of its earnings from the Super Broadcaster program—minus an administration fee of $1 per payout, which it said “is used to continue operating the Super Hearts feature and to cover the cost of monthly payment processing”—will go directly to broadcasters.

The app is also celebrating the holiday season with a special bonus during November and December:

  • Super Broadcasters who earn 1 million or more stars in either month will receive a $100 bonus.
