Periscope iOS Update Adds Groups Tab to User Profiles, More

Periscope's latest iOS update adds a Groups tab to user profiles, introduces improved video quality on iPhone 6+ and more

Periscope released the latest update for its livestreaming application on iOS. The update adds a dedicated Groups tab to user profiles, among other features.

With this update, users can quickly access the Groups menu from a new tab on their profiles. From this tab, users can create groups of users with which to share future broadcasts. In addition, the app now allows users to opt out of receiving push notifications when someone adds them to a group.

Elsewhere, Periscope said it improved audio sync when watching 360 broadcasts, as well as broadcast quality for users with slower internet connections.

Finally, users on iPhone 6 and higher should now see “better-looking video” in the app.

Periscope is available to download for free on the iTunes App Store.
