Interestingly enough, Buchheit is leaving only days before Facebook unleashes its supposed “Gmail Killer”, the email service first created by Buchheit. Taylor has since become the CTO of Facebook.

Paul Buchheit has become a relatively public figure in the Silicon Valley startup scene, investing in a number of high profile internet startups.
