Parnell Jumps to WNYC

WNYC today announced that it has named Howard Parnell as Executive Director of Digital Media.
Parnell’s journalism career spans more than two decades. He has spent more than half of that time managing large and complex online news and information operations, including seven years as Managing Editor and Editor of washingtonpost.com.
While at washingtonpost.com, from 1999 into 2006, Parnell managed a staff of 70 editors and producers, including the 24/7 breaking news team, and directed online news coverage, features, redesigns and other content initiatives for all editorial sections of the site.
