Park Slope Kiddie Authors Win Big At Caldecott Awards

Park Slope children’s writers can kick your neighborhood’s kiddie writers’ butts. The always-informative Gersh Kuntzman let us know that Two Park Slope authors came up big at the Caldecott Awards in Philadelphia. Author Brian Selznick won the Caldecott gold and Mo Willems (pictured) won the Caldecott silver, along with the Theodor Seuss Geisel Award. Another ‘Slope based writer, Jackie Woodson, won a Newberry silver medal.

Retaliatory measures from the Upper West Side have not yet been offically announced.
