OverDrive Media Console for Windows Phone Updated

Two weeks ago library ebook distributor OverDrive released updates for their iOS and Android apps, and today they’re following them with a new update for their Windows Phone app.

This app, which is designed to work with OverDrive’s 18 thousand plus library partners, let patrons check out and then either read ebooks or listen to audiobooks. The update adds a number of features,  including background downloads (so you can get new content even when the app isn’t running), new zoom options for images in ebooks, better memory management, improved Wikipedia and dictionary look-up abilities, and continous playbook for audiobooks (which are usually downloaded in 2 or more parts due to size issues).

You can find the app in the Windows Phone Marketplace.
