Gay-Focused Outsports.com Gets New York Times Treatment

It’s a rare thing to find a content niche on the Internet that is not already saturated with competition. Let alone one that has remained so for a dozen years.

Launched way back in 1999, Los Angeles-based Outsports.com is still the only website seriously focused on the intersection of sports and gay issues. Today, it gets a glowing write-up in the New York Times.

The site is run by former Long Beach Press-Telegram sports editor Jim Buzinski and ex-Disney development executive Cyd Zeigler, both openly gay.
