Oscar de la Renta to Receive Artistry of Fashion Award

New York Fashion Week gets underway tomorrow with a few presentations and a lone early-bird show (Natsuko Kanno’s shape-shifting 4 Corners of a Circle), but the real kickoff will be a Lincoln Center luncheon in honor of Oscar de la Renta. The designer is the recipient of the 2012 Couture Council Award for Artistry of Fashion, an honor bestowed annually by the Museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology‘s Couture Council. Past recipients include Ralph Rucci, Alber Elbaz, Karl Lagerfeld, and Valentino.
