At the time of this post, the status update had collected nearly 152,000 likes, more than 38,600 shares, and nearly 19,300 comments.

Fortunately, the majority of the comments were positive. Unfortunately, anti-gay rhetoric and threats to boycott Oreos found their way into the thread, as well.

Mashable asked Oreo about the post, and a spokesperson replied:

In celebration of the 100th birthday of Oreo cookies, the brand is creating a series of daily ads reflecting current events in a fun way using images of Oreo cookies and milk.
