Open Compute Project Establishes Taiwan Chapter

The Open Compute Project, which was started by Facebook in an effort to devise more efficient methods of data storage, announced the opening of its second international chapter, in Taiwan, joining the OCP chapter in Japan.

The Open Compute Project, which was started by Facebook in an effort to devise more efficient methods of data storage, announced the opening of its second international chapter, in Taiwan, joining the OCP chapter in Japan.

OCP announced that it will set up an OCP certification lab in Taiwan, via founding member Industrial Technology Research Institute, which will certify that OCP Taiwan’s submissions adhere to its community standards.

Charlie Manese, vice president of channel development for OCP, participated in OCP Taiwan’s launch event May 23.
