Facebook users may soon be seeing a lot of Netflix in their news feeds, as President Barack Obama signed into law a bill approved by the Senate and the House of Representatives to alter the Video Privacy Protection Act of 1998.

Facebook users may soon be seeing a lot of Netflix in their news feeds, as President Barack Obama signed into law a bill approved by the Senate and the House of Representatives to alter the Video Privacy Protection Act of 1998.

The VPPA was enacted in 1998, after Washington City Paper published the video rental history of Supreme Court nominee Robert Bork.

The Hill’s Hillicon Valley blog reported on Obama’s signing of the bill, adding that Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.)
