NUVI Adds Publishing For One-Stop Social Listening and Management

While NUVI is still focused on social listening and analytics, the platform announced publishing for Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.

There are lots of social sharing and content distribution platforms out there. The other side of that coin is the social listening. And even when platforms have both sharing and listening capabilities, it’s hard to extract that data in a way that’s easy to for decision-makers to understand.

As a social-savvy creative agency, Struck saw this challenge and set out to develop a product that could would monitor social conversations in real-time and create visual data reports to share with decision makers. NUVI launched in 2013 as a social intelligence platform, but today the company announced that it was adding the ability to publish and schedule posts to LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook.

While this new feature is hardly revolutionary, it will enable those already using the platform to publish content from their NUVI dashboard. According to CEO Keith Nellesen, this addition serves to provide its clients with greater functionality so they don’t have to go to another tool.

“Our clients asked us for it,” he says, adding that NUVI is maintaining its focus on social listening, monitoring and analytics. “Our focus is on the discovery of information and the diffusion of information.”

That said, Nellesen said this is just the first generation of publishing options being added to NUVI. He shrugged off the idea of competing with Hootsuite and other social media management platforms, saying that adding publishing gives NUVI users the tools they need to manage their social media offerings and trends.

In addition to publishing, NUVI also added several other features:

  • Geo-Targeting: Enables users to zero in on conversations in specific geographic locations
  • Network-Targeting: Enables users to analyze data based on specific social networks including Twitter, Facebook, Google+, Vimeo, Reddit, Tumblr, WordPress and Disqus
  • Word Cloud Visualisation: Enables users to identify trending keywords, hashtags, terms, concepts and related sentiment
  • Instagram Hashtag Monitoring: Enables users to track hashtags on all public Instagram profiles

The new publishing feature is currently only available for LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook, but Nellesen says more platforms will be added soon.

“We’re not going to become a publisher,” he says. “[But] these powerful new updates help elevate NUVI as a one-stop solution for publishing and analytics.
