Crazy story in the LA Times about “Ace Ventura,” “Nutty Professor,” “Bruce Almighty” ect… director Tom Shadyac. It seems after his last film “Evan Almighty” tanked in 2007, Shadyac sold most of his possessions and his 17,000 sq. ft. mansion in Pasadena and moved to a Malibu trailer park. He also suffered a severe concussion in a bike accident that left him impaired for quite some time. When he recovered most of his faculties, he began giving away most of his money and making a documentary called “I Am” about the stress and competitive nature of our society. Shadyac’s doc will be out next September.
Fascinating story. Well worth the read.
