NPR's Vivian Schiller Resigns

NPR president and CEO VIvian Schiller has resigned, NPR announced.

The board announced its acceptance of Schiller’s resignation “with understanding, genuine regret, and great respect” for her two years of service.

Joyce Slocum, SVP of Legal Affairs and General Counsel, will serve as interim CEO while the board recruits a new permanent leader.

According to NPR’s The Two-Way blog, Schiller may have been forced out.
