NPR Shuffles Its Executive Staff

NPR’s Kinsey Wilson just got a major promotion. It was announced today that Wilson will be NPR’s new executive vice president and chief content officer, in charge of shaping the direction of all NPR news, programming and digital media content. Wilson has been a digital innovation guru of sorts at NPR since his arrival in 2008. He headed the efforts to develop the radio network’s web and mobile platforms.

Meanwhile, Margaret Low Smith has been formally named senior vice president of NPR News, where she had been serving in acting capacity since January of 2011.
