NPR Launches "I <3 NPR" Facebook App

NPR is looking for love on Facebook, as the public broadcaster rolled out its first app on the social networking site, I <3 (Heart) NPR, which allows users to tag themselves to their favorite member stations on an interactive map.

NPR is looking for love on Facebook, as the public broadcaster rolled out its first app on the social networking site, I <3 (Heart) NPR, which allows users to tag themselves to their favorite member stations on an interactive map.

Users can roll their cursors over a map and see how many NPR fans have tagged their stations in each market, with the most-tagged stations being highlighted more intensely on the map.

Two audio-based trivia games are also included in I <3 (Heart) NPR — NPR Trivia Quiz and Name That Theme Song — and NPR said two more would be added when the app reaches 100,000 fans and 200,000 fans, respectively.
