Social news site NowThis is working with Thrive Global, the wellness site started by HuffPost founder Arianna Huffington on a new digital series aimed at Millennial women. It’s a partnership that is meant to highlight and merge each organization’s strength–NowThis’s strength in producing and distributing on social with Thrive Global’s subject matter expertise in healthy living.
Called Live Better, the 24-episode series will appear on both sites’ Facebook and Instagram pages, as well as in the Thrive Global newsletter and is meant to last through Labor Day weekend. The path toward living better will be lined with suggestions both scientific and inspirational.
“NowThis ‘Her’ is dedicated to empowering young women and we’re excited to team up with Thrive Global to create interesting, useful content specifically with women’s health and well-being in mind,” said NowThis chief content officer Tina Exarhos in a statement, referring to the site’s women-focused channel, which has about 799,600 followers on Facebook.
And Huffington believes that NowThis has an audience receptive to Live Better’s message. “A large portion of Thrive Global’s audience on social media is millennial women looking for solutions and alternatives to a 24/7 always-on culture that incentivizes burnout,” said Huffington in a statement.
But with this partnership, the way to receive the message will be through that very same culture that social thrives on.
