It’s do or die for Nokia: the company’s much-hyped Comes With Music service has officially launched today in the UK, along with the Nokia 5310 XpressMusic handset, MocoNews reports, with the service also working on the existing N95 handset.
What everyone is trying to figure out here is exactly how Nokia plans to make money doing this. If you can download and keep all the music you want in the first 12 months, how is Nokia paying the record labels? And as a consumer, what will it be like to own the files and move them around to different machines? We’ll soon find out.
The report said that the service will roll out in other countries through 2009, including Australia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Singapore, Spain and Sweden.
