They certainly deserve credit for trying. MocoNews is reporting that Nokia launched a new advisory group within its recently created Nokia Entertainment and Communities Group to help ensure that revenues are shared fairly with artists as new technology for accessing music develops.
Nokia has been trying to transform itself into a mobile web entertainment company, the article said, bypassing operators and going directly to entertainment sources in the process. The advisory council is “yet another step in this direction.”
Nokia recently launched their Comes With Music service, as part of their new Ovi mobile media effort.
