NJ Hires Yochi Dreazen from WSJ

In what is the first of many big announcements expected this summer, The National Journal Group announced today that veteran national security reporter Yochi Dreazen will join NJ as a senior correspondent covering military affairs and national security next month.

Dreazen is currently the WSJ‘s military correspondent.

Dreazen’s hire comes on the heels of a major wave of change at NJ as some 30 journalists there took buyouts and others were layed off. Dreazon’s hire is part of the “nationwide talent search” that top brass have been talking about in recent weeks.

A release states: “He and nearly 30 other new reporters, analysts and editors will be part of a transformed news organization that will combine the National Journal GroupÂ’s reputation for intelligence and depth with energy, currency and speed.”
