Meanwhile, the National Football League in general and the Dallas Cowboys in particular continued to dominate the sports category.

SNL accounted for 1.715 million total interactions across Facebook and Twitter during the week of Nov. 7, with Fox News Channel’s America’s Election Headquarters placing second at 1.482 million and AMC’s The Walking Dead at No. 3 with 1.33 million.

As for sports events, the NFL accounted for seven of the top 10, led by the Cowboys’ last-minute victory over the host Pittsburgh Steelers, with 18.647 million total interactions.

Pay-per-view cracked the charts for the week, as UFC 205, which featured Conor McGregor’s historic victory over Eddie Alvarez, placed third with 2.948 million interactions.
