Nielsen Social Content Ratings, Week of Sept. 18: An NFL Sweep

The season finale of CBS reality competition series Big Brother led TV series and specials

The National Football League dominated the Nielsen Social Content Ratings for the week of Sept. 18.

NFL games accounted for the entire list of the top 10 sports events on television for the week, led by the Chicago Bears’ upset of the visiting Pittsburgh Steelers, which generated 12.598 million interactions across Facebook and Twitter.

The New England Patriots’ squeaker over the visiting Houston Texans was second with 4.038 million interactions across the two social networks, while the Jacksonville Jaguars’ rout over the Baltimore Ravens in London tallied 3.277 million.

The season finale of CBS reality competition series Big Brother led TV series and specials with 1.893 million interactions across Facebook and Twitter.

Big Brother was followed by NBC’s America’s Got Talent (1.381 million) and VH1’s Hip Hop Honors: The 90’s Game Changers (829,000).
