Nielsen Social Content Ratings, Week of Jan. 23: BET’s The New Edition Story Hums

The three-night miniseries grabbed the top three spots for TV series and specials

BET’s three-night miniseries, The New Edition Story, grabbed the top three spots for TV series and specials in the Nielsen Social Content Ratings for the week of Jan. 23.

The miniseries’ installments on Jan. 26, 24 and 25, respectively, tallied 2.315 million, 2.157 million and 1.502 million interactions on Facebook and Twitter, respectively.

TNT’s presentation of the 23rd Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards placed fourth, with 1.349 million interactions.

The lack of meaningful National Football League games brought down the numbers in the sports category, although the NFL’s Pro Bowl still topped the list with 1.042 million interactions across the two social networks.

National Basketball Association and college basketball games accounted for the bulk of the top 10.
