Newsweek Twitter Hacked by Pro ISIS Group

The group threatened the Obama family

Newsweek’s Twitter account has been hacked by a pro-ISIS group called “CyberCaliphate.” In a series of posts, the group leaked documents, threatened the Obama family — citing Michelle Obama specifically — and pinned its mission statement to the top of the profile page.

CyberCaliphate is the same group that hacked the US Central Command’s Twitter account in early January. The group also previously hacked Taylor Swift’s Twitter account; just in case there was any doubt what kind of music ISIS enjoys.

The attack on Newsweek’s account lasted only about 15 minutes. So far, Newsweek hasn’t updated about the hack.
